Mainly, there are four types of medical dentistry procedures that are as follows:
Diagnostic procedures. Diagnostic procedures are used to recognize patient’s medical condition. The procedures include examination, consultation, and bacterial testing including test that are used to discover the source of pain.
Non-surgical treatments. Non-surgical treatments include emergency treatments for any kind of infection, incision, or even patients suffering from anorexia or bulimia.Surgical treatments. Tooth extraction and dental implants are examples of surgical treatments in medical dentistry.
Treatment for traumatic injuries. Once an in injury is treated, all treatments that restore original look of the mouth are considered as treatments for traumatic injuries.
